WHO ARE ELIGIBLE?

People who are interested in adventures and unravelling new mysteries, with a curious mind
ready to introduce itself to new perspectives can opt for forensics. Moreover, a student must have
studied subjects of physics, chemistry and biology (maths can be optional) and passed class 12
with at least 50-60% aggregates from a recognised board.

WHAT TO DO AFTER CLASS 12?

After passing class 12, one can choose several ways to go into the forensics field. One way of
getting into this field is by attempting All India Forensic Science Entrance Test, commonly known
as AIFSET is a national-level entrance exam conducted for admissions to various forensic science
institutes and universities. Students who score well in this exam are offered forensic science
             courses by universities.
Another way is to earn a B.Sc in Forensic Science or a related field (such as Chemistry, Biology, or
Physics) to become a Forensic Scientist. An M.Sc in Forensic Science or a related field can enhance
career prospects and provide specialized knowledge in areas such as DNA analysis, toxicology,
or digital forensics. Also one can go for Ph.D in forensic science after MBBS.

               WHAT SKILLS ONE MUST ATTAIN?

One must have skills such as data analysis, electron microscopy, DNA profiling and chromatography.
